Lymphoedema
Lymphoedema is swelling that happens when the body's lymphatic system isn't moving fluid properly. This causes fluid to build up of the tissues, most often in the arms and legs.

It can feel like heaviness, tightness or puffiness and many come and go or be ongoing. While there's no cure for lymphoedema, it can be managed well with the right care of gentle lymphatic drainage massage, movement, compression and good skin care.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you have to have Lymphoedema to receive a Manual Lymphatic Drainage Massage?
No. This treatment is suitable for many people and is commonly used to support general wellbeing and lymphatic health. It is gentle, effective, and deeply relaxing.

I stand on my feet all day, will compression stockings benefit me?
Yes, absolutely. Standing for long periods can disrupt lymphatic and venous flow, which may lead to swelling, puffiness, or discomfort in the legs. Wearing compression stockings can help support healthy circulation, reduce swelling, and may help prevent venous insufficiency and the development of varicose veins.

Can pregnant women wear compression stockings?

My Mum had breast cancer about 5 years ago, she seems ok, but would we benefit from education on Lymphoedema?
